LAF-plafonds, CG doeken en afwerking cleanrooms
LAF Ceilings
LAF ceilings (Laminar Air Flow) are essential in cleanrooms and must meet the highest quality standards. Each ceiling is custom-made according to the client’s specifications. Alinco has developed various types of ceilings, which we manufacture and install in-house. These ceilings ensure uniform airflow and a contamination-free environment.
CG Screens
We also offer frames with CG fabrics. These fabrics form the final element of the LAF ceiling and consist of an aluminum or stainless steel frame, covered on one or both sides with a special membrane. These frames ensure highly uniform air permeability. To achieve optimal adhesion, the frames are thoroughly roughened. While aluminum is often used for easier roughening, Alinco has developed a cost-effective technique for roughening stainless steel frames, which we prefer due to their superior quality.
Options for CG Fabrics
- Material: Stainless steel or aluminum. We prefer stainless steel due to its lower porosity, making it more suitable for pharmaceutical applications.
- Frame Height: Fully customizable, including additional reinforcements.
- Fabric Covering: Single-sided or double-sided; we recommend double-sided.
- Customization: Frames can include mounting holes, locking systems, or other specific features.
- Identification: Each frame receives a unique identifier, ideally chosen logically by the client.
Cleanroom Finishing
Alinco handles the complete stainless steel finishing of cleanrooms, including measurement and installation. This includes sealing all openings with stainless steel panels, such as:
- Skirting below machines.
- Panels, access hatches, and covers.
- Cable trays and finishing profiles.
- Closing areas above machines with stainless steel plating.
- Classic furniture, probes, and more.
With our extensive experience and technical expertise, we ensure seamless and hygienic finishing for your cleanroom.
Technical Interest in Operation?
LAF Ceilings (Laminar Air Flow)
LAF ceilings are critical components in cleanrooms, designed to maintain a controlled and sterile environment by creating uniform airflow. Here’s a technical explanation:
Function and Operation
- Laminar Air Flow (LAF): LAF ceilings create a uniform, vertical airflow from top to bottom, removing airborne contaminants and directing them to exhaust zones. This prevents particle buildup in the cleanroom and minimizes contamination risks.
- Flush Design: The ceiling integrates seamlessly with the rest of the cleanroom, preventing turbulence and dirt accumulation.
Construction and Materials
- Frame: Made of high-quality stainless steel (304 or 316) or aluminum. Stainless steel is preferred due to its low porosity and high resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for pharmaceutical and other demanding applications.
- Filters: Equipped with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) or ULPA (Ultra-Low Penetration Air) filters to remove particles and microorganisms.
- Seals: FDA-approved silicone seals prevent air leakage and form a hygienic barrier.
Technical Specifications
- Airflow: The laminar airflow velocity typically ranges between 0.36 and 0.54 meters per second, depending on cleanroom requirements.
- Filter Efficiency: HEPA filters provide 99.97% efficiency for particles of 0.3 microns, while ULPA filters achieve 99.999% efficiency for particles of 0.12 microns.
- Construction Tolerances: Strict tolerances ensure perfect fit and sealing.
Installation and Maintenance
- Custom-Made: Each LAF ceiling is tailored to client specifications, including dimensions, filter types, and additional features like built-in lighting.
- Easy Installation: Designed for simple integration with existing HVAC systems. Modular panels allow easy assembly and disassembly for maintenance.
- Maintenance: Regular inspection and filter replacement are essential to maintain performance. The smooth, flush design facilitates cleaning.
Applications
- Pharmaceutical Production: Ensuring sterile production zones.
- Food Industry: Supporting hygienic production processes.
- Electronics: Minimizing dust and particles during sensitive component manufacturing.
- Hospitals and Laboratories: Maintaining sterile environments in operating rooms and research labs.
At Alinco, we combine technical expertise with years of experience to deliver LAF ceilings that meet the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.
CG Fabrics for LAF Ceilings
CG fabrics, also known as Ceiling Grid fabrics, are essential components of LAF ceilings (Laminar Air Flow). They ensure uniform air permeability and contribute to creating a controlled and sterile cleanroom environment. Here’s a technical overview:
Function and Operation
- Air Permeability: CG fabrics are designed for uniform air distribution. They ensure that filtered air blown through the LAF ceiling is evenly dispersed, creating consistent laminar airflow.
- Particle Filtration: While primary filtration occurs in HEPA or ULPA filters, CG fabrics help distribute remaining particles, enhancing overall air quality.
Construction and Materials
- Frame: Made of aluminum or stainless steel (304 or 316). Stainless steel is preferred for its durability and corrosion resistance.
- Membrane: A specially permeable material stretched over the frame ensures uniform air distribution. The fabric can be single-sided or double-sided, depending on requirements.
- Surface Treatment: Frames are roughened for optimal adhesion of the membrane, ensuring a durable and secure fit.
Technical Specifications
- Material Choice: Stainless steel is commonly used due to its low porosity and high corrosion resistance. Aluminum is an alternative but less suitable for pharmaceutical applications.
- Dimensions and Reinforcements: Frame height and additional reinforcements can be customized based on application needs.
- Mounting: Frames can include holes, locking systems, or other mounting methods tailored to installation requirements.
Options and Customization
- Single-Sided or Double-Sided Fabric: Depending on airflow needs, membranes can be stretched on one or both sides.
- Unique Identification: Each frame is uniquely identified, usually as per client specifications, for easy installation and tracking.
- Surface Treatment: Alinco has developed a cost-effective technique to roughen stainless steel frames, ensuring strong membrane adhesion.
Installation and Maintenance
- Custom-Made: Each CG fabric is tailored to the client’s specifications, including dimensions, membrane type, and mounting methods.
- Simple Installation: Designed for easy integration into LAF ceilings, ensuring efficiency and hygiene in cleanrooms.
- Maintenance: CG fabrics require minimal upkeep, but regular inspection is essential to ensure the membrane remains intact and airflow is unobstructed.
Applications
- Pharmaceutical Production: Supporting sterile, controlled production zones.
- Food Industry: Maintaining hygienic production conditions.
- Electronics: Reducing particles during sensitive component manufacturing.
- Hospitals and Laboratories: Ensuring sterile environments in operating rooms and research labs.
At Alinco, we prioritize quality and precision in designing and manufacturing CG fabrics for LAF ceilings. Our products are designed to meet stringent cleanroom standards, contributing to a safe and sterile working environment.
