Hot-rolled structural steel sheet
Alinco standard stock includes:
DC01
For sheet thicknesses up to and including 3 mm. These are the classic cold-rolled steel sheets; they are not of S235 or S355 quality, but these latter grades are not available for thin sheets. These sheets are not suitable for construction purposes that need to be certified under EN1090. For DC01, it is customary to provide material certificates. If desired, only a 2.2 certificate can be provided.
S235JR
Attention: S235JR is only available from a sheet thickness of 2 mm; if another grade is requested, e.g., S235J0, we will offer S355J2. We reserve the right to upgrade S235JR to S355J2 depending on stock and nesting efficiency. Since S355J2 is higher alloyed, this is normally not an issue. Please specify if certificates are required.
S355J2
Attention: S355J2 is only available from a sheet thickness of 3 mm; if another grade is requested, e.g., S355JR, we will offer S355J2. We reserve the right to use shot-blasted plates for thicker materials. Please specify if certificates are required. We normally purchase S355 with a 3.1 certificate; the heat number can be restamped if desired.
With regard to steel, old and new designations as well as material numbers are often used interchangeably.
