Aluminium
The standard quality processed at Alinco is AlMg3 = EN AW 5754 for plate, up to a maximum size of 10 mm thick. This is a very common plate that is easy to process.

Any deviation from the standard must be purchased project-wise, thus more expensive. We stock the following:
- Blank
- With foil
- Various tread plates
- Various perforated plates

Advantages:
- It is a lightweight material.
- Good corrosion resistance.
- Aluminum can be easily extruded.
- Recyclable.

Disadvantages:
- More challenging to process than steel or inox (harder to weld, less form-stable during bending and rolling, harder to laser cut).

Material Qualities
Three different names are used for aluminum:
- EN (e.g., 5754),
- DIN (e.g., AlMg3),
- and the material number (e.g., 33535.10).
Below you can find a conversion table for the different names.

Technical Properties
As mentioned earlier, aluminum is a very light metal with a low specific weight.
- Aluminum has high strength, which varies significantly in the number of alloys.
- Aluminum is an excellent conductor of electricity.
- It has a low melting point.
