Linear brushing
Stainless steel line brushed or ground K320
Other terms for line brushed sheets are ground (K320) or sanded sheets. It gives the material a matte finish with fine lines, as often seen in range hoods. This finish is often used for high-end machine enclosures and pharmaceutical furniture, but it has many other applications.
Advantages of brushed stainless steel:
- Aesthetic advantage
A brushed surface provides a consistent and beautiful appearance, ideal for various applications. - Less visible fingerprints and scratches
Brushed stainless steel makes fingerprints and scratches less visible, making it perfect for everyday use and other stainless steel applications. - Easy to maintain
Thanks to a relatively low roughness value, dirt adheres less quickly, making cleaning easier.
Disadvantages of brushed stainless steel:
- Requires expertise
A brushed finish usually requires ground and finely finished weld seams, which is specialized work! And coincidentally… Alinco is a specialist in this fine finish😊 - Weldability of stainless steel
With the right expertise, brushed stainless steel is relatively easy to weld, and the weld seams can be nicely concealed for a seamless finish.
Unlike bead blasting, pickling, and sublimotion, we do not perform brushing of materials for third parties. We prefer to start with our own material, thus complete projects. Contact us for more information or to receive a sample.
