Non-directional brushing

Non-Directional Brushing, also known as jitterbugging, clouding, Vibrinox, or orbital brushing, is a manual finish achieved using an eccentric sander. This technique is often used for kitchen countertops and is increasingly popular in the industry as an alternative to traditionally ground/brushed stainless steel or bead-blasted stainless steel.

Advantages of non-directional brushing:

  1. Aesthetic durability
    This finish offers long-term aesthetic benefits, especially with intensive use. It gives the impression of a used patina, and additional scratches from intensive use are not bothersome.
  2. No fingerprints or streaks
    Unlike ground, linear brushed, or bead-blasted stainless steel, this finish shows hardly any fingerprints or streaks.
  3. Invisible scratches
    Any scratches are hardly visible, contributing to a long-lasting beautiful appearance.
  4. Easy to maintain
    This finish is very easy to maintain. A soapy solution and a dry cloth are enough to keep the stainless steel in top condition.
  5. Soft texture
    The soft, smooth texture feels pleasant to the touch.
