Steel grades
St37 = steel = S235 = material number 1.0037
The classic. Being the most commonly used steel, if someone asks for steel without further requirements, we suggest st37 = S235 grade.
Characteristics:
- Low carbon content
- Easy to weld
- Can be formed using both cold and hot processes
- High elasticity
St52 = S355 = 1.0570
This steel grade has a higher yield point and maximum tensile strength than the traditional St37 steel grade.
Galva = pre-galvanized sheet
Characteristics: a typical steel plate pre-treated with a zinc coating. The advantage of this plate is that it no longer requires post-treatment against corrosion.
Zincor
Characteristics: a typical steel plate treated with a zinc coating; for some applications this facilitates painting afterwards.
